The Steeldrum (original name „Steelpan“) is a musical instrument that originated in Trinidad and Tobago. Traditionally made from a repurposed oil drum, its metal surface is carefully shaped, hammered and tuned by skilled pan builders to produce different musical notes.

Today, the steelpan is a versatile instrument capable of playing almost any genre of music, from Caribbean music and pop to jazz and classical music.

Steelpan Experts Germany sees itself as the link between Europe and the Caribbean when it comes to purchasing original Steelpans from Trinidad and Tobago.

Buying an original Steelpan directly from the Caribbean can be complicated – from payment methods and shipping to customs clearance and customer service. We make the process easier and provide personal advice and support even after your purchase.

In addition, we offer Steelpan lessons, workshops for bands, tuning services and customised sheet music in Europe. This means we support you not only when purchasing your instrument, but also throughout your musical journey.

Our Steeldrums are handcrafted by experienced steelpan builders in Trinidad and Tobago, the birthplace of this unique instrument. Our partner company, Steelpan Experts Ltd, has been operating since 2013 and has extensive experience in crafting high-quality Steelpans.

Through our close collaboration with our partners in Trinidad and Tobago, we bring authentic Steelpans to Europe, combining traditional craftsmanship with musical quality.
